David and Megan Hamm

We are committed to making your visit to the Big Island a trip to remember.

Aloha! My wife and I moved here after having vacationed in Kona ourselves. The weather is warm and so is the water temperature year round. Kona is a community of good health - from all the outdoor activities, both ocean and on land - and healthy eating. We both grew up on the coast of southern California, which we thought was paradise. After having spent time here in Kona during the winter months, we found that this was true paradise. We decided we wanted to be a part of the Island Life. Now we have a place for others to come stay and find what we fell in love with. It has it all - from fishing, snorkeling, hiking and exploring volcanoes and water falls.

Island History

Set aside enough time while you are visiting our beautiful Kona coast to explore the interesting history. Visit where the kings and ancient Hawaiians lived and see how rich their lives were. Also, plan to visit close by Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park. The bay is an important historic location because it marks the site where the first westerner, Captain James Cook, landed on the Hawaii Islands, and where he was killed in a skirmish a year later. A white obelisk on the shore of Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park memorializes his death. Located at the east side of the bay at Napo'opo'o Beach is the Hikiau Heiau (ancient sacred temple) dedicated to the Hawaiian god of agriculture and prosperity, Lono. It was built by King Kalani'opu'u and was a luakini (human sacrifice) heiau.
